  • What are reeds and how do they work?
    • Our natural reeds contain 20 or more individual cellular sections that run from top to bottom of the reed. The cellular sections open to pull the fragrance liquid from the bottom to the top. This wicks the fragrance from inside the bottle, carries it to the top and outer surface of the reeds, and releases the fragrance into the air.
  • Why can‘t I re-use the same reeds over and over again with different fragrances?
    • Since fragrances are composed of top, middle, and base notes; the base notes are the last ingredients to evaporate off of the reeds. These ingredients are heavier and more viscous and may close the reeds preventing continued use.
  • How long do Greenleaf‘s Reed Diffusers last?
    • Greenleaf‘s reed diffuser oils last on average 4 months! Environmental factors such as direct sunlight , dehumidifiers, air conditioning, etc may affect the fragrance throw.
  • How do I use a Greenleaf Reed Diffusers?
    • Place your reed diffuser on a flat, stable surface, Using the funnel provided, fill with Greenleaf‘s Reed Diffuser Oil. Remove funnel and insert reeds. The fragrance will be absorbed by the reeds and filter into your room. You may accelerate the process or refresh the fragrance by flipping the reeds and reinserting them into the fragrance oil with the “wet“ end on top.
  • How much of the Greenleaf Reed Diffuser Oil should I put in the decorative container?
    • Start out using the full 8oz bottle of Greenleaf Reed Diffuser oil in the decorative container. This will allow the oil to enter from the ends and permeate the reed sides. This will maximize your fragrance release. The fragrance will continue to diffuse as long as there is a fair amount of diffuser oil in the decorative container.
  • How many reeds should I put in the bottle?
    • 10 reeds will diffuse plenty of scent from the Greenleaf Reed Diffuser Oil.
  • My bottle is not empty but my fragrance doesn‘t seem to be diffusing?
    • Try flipping the reeds and reinserting them into the fragrance oil with the ‘wet‘ end on top or try adding a new set of reeds to start fragrance release again. Occasionally reeds may become partially clogged. The lower the liquid level in the bottle, the longer it will take to saturate new reeds.
